You may need to request an additional Deposit from your Client on a Proposal for different reasons. One reason could be based on your business model to receive a Deposit on a Proposal, then request additional funds prior to the final Invoice. Another reason could be when a second Deposit is required to proceed with additional work on an existing Proposal. In either case, Design Manager can generate another format of the Proposal, for just such situations. Follow the below steps to request an additional Deposit on a Proposal.
1. On the left side menu, click on Projects and find the Project you want to create an additional deposit for and open it.
2. Click the Proposals tab at the top under the Project name and click on the Proposal NO. of the Proposal you want to add an additional deposit to.
3. Click the Additional Deposit Request Tab at the top of the Edit Proposal window.
4. Next to the Additional Deposit Required Amount, enter the amount of supplementary Deposit needed from the Client into this field.
Use the Calculate button if a particular percentage of the total price of the Proposal is desired as the required Deposit. For example, say the Proposal in question has a total estimated price of 15,000.00. If an additional 15% Deposit is needed, click the Calculate button and input 15 on the Enter Additional Deposit Percent window and then click on OK.
5. Next to the Required Date, enter the date the Deposit is required by. Note: the Required Date will replace the Proposal Date on the document and defaults to the current system date.
6. When finished entering the information, click on Save.
7. After clicking on Save, you will be taken back to the Proposals list and you can click on PDF next to the Proposal you added the additional deposit request to view the information. Here is an example of a Proposal with the additional deposit request shown. Note the revised Proposal title, Proposal - Deposit Required and the subtotal section at the bottom of the Proposal, Additional Deposit Required amount.
