Clearing Design Manager Cookies

Learn how to clear out your Design Manager cookies if the program appears stuck

If your Design Manager appears stuck, clearing out your Design Manger cookies can reset the program allowing you to continue working. Outdated or corrupted cookies can cause problems like login issues, website formatting errors, or slow loading times. Clearing out your cookies can help resolve these issues. The steps to clear out cookies are different depending on which internet browser you use.

Google Chrome

1. In the upper right hand corner of your internet browsing bar, click on the three vertical dots.

2. In the drop down menu, click on More tools.

3. In the pop-up menu select Clear browsing data.

4. In the new window, click on Cancel to take you to the main Privacy and Security settings page.

5. Click on Third-party cookies.

6. Scroll down and click on See all data and permissions.

7. Find designmanager.com and to the right, click on the trash can/delete button to remove only Design Manager cookies and in the pop-up window select Delete.

8. Close Google Chrome to save your changes and then you can open Google Chrome back up log back into Design Manager.

Safari

1. Click on Safari on the top menu bar.

2. Click Settings.

3. Click the Privacy tab.

4. Click Manage Website Data.

5. Find designmanager.com and select it, then click Remove.

6. Click Advanced tab and check box to Show features for web developers.

6. Go to the Safari menu on the top menu bar. Click Develop and then Empty Caches.

7. Select Safari > Quit to close Safari and save your changes.

8. You can open Safari back up and then log into Design Manager.

Microsoft Edge

1. Click the Tools menu (three dotted lines in the upper-right corner), and open the Settings menu.

2. Click Privacy, search, and services on the left-side menu.

3. Under the section Clear browsing data, Click Choose what to clear.

4. Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.

5. Click Clear Now.

6. Close Microsoft Edge completely for your changes to take effect.

7. You can open Edge back up and then log into Design Manager.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Click on the Tools bar (three bars in the top-right corner).

2. Click History.

3. On the menu to the right, select Clear Recent History.

4. In the Clear All History menu, select the time range to Everything.


5. Select the options, Cookies, Cache, Active Logins, Site settings, and Offline website data.

6. Click OK.


7. Close and re-open Firefox to save your changes and then log into Design Manager.
