Adding a Time Entry

Learn how to add time spent on a project

1. On the left side menu, select Ttracking and click on Time Entry.

2. Click the + Add button.

3. On the Add Time Entry page, enter the information.

  • Project: Select the Project from the list

  • Employee: Select the Employee from the list. If the Employee you want to select is not shown, you can add an Employee by going to the left side menu and under Tracking select Employees and add

  • Activity: Select the activity for the time entry from the list. If the activity you want to select is not shown, you can add an activity by going to the left side menu and under Tracking, select Time Activities and add

  • Date/Time: Enter the date for the time entry and the enter time is optional as you can just enter hours works below

  • Description: This automatically fills with the description of the activity selected but can be edited if needed

  • Hours X Rate: Enter the number of hours worked and enter the Rate/Hr (the rate per hour you charge the Client) and the price will automatically calculate

  • Hours X Cost: Optional, enter the number of hours worked and enter the Cost/Hr (the cost per hour you pay to your Employee) and the price will automatically calculate

  • Non-Billable: Select if the work hours entered are not billed to the Client

  • Taxable: This will default from the project tax settings and can be changed if the work hours entered are a taxable item

4. After entering your information, click on the Save & New button to save and open a new time entry log, or the Save button at the bottom or the top right to just save.

5. You can see your Time Entry shown in the list

and you can also see this Time Entry under Items in the Project.
