Design Manager has many Reports with countless combinations for analyzing data. Reports are divided into several categories: Project Management, Order Tracking, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Financial, Inventory, Time Billing, and Glossary Listings.
You can view all of the Reports by going to the navigation bar on the left and selecting the paper or report icon.
On the Reporting page, you can see a Favorites and an All Reports tab. Under the All Reports tab, you can see all of the Reports in Design Manager.
On the Favorites tab, you can see a list of Reports that you have favorited. To favorite a Report, go to the All Reports tab and click on the star next to the Report. You can select a folder to add the Report to or create a new folder.
On the right side of the Reporting page, you can see a history of all previous Reports generated.
Most reports in Design Manager offer a set of ranges which allow you to customize how each report will generate. A range is a set of fields that designates a starting point and an ending point to display data. For example, typing “A” in the first field of Client Range and then typing “C” into the second field will select only those Clients that have a Code that start with the letters A, B, or C. Any range that is left blank is ignored and will select all records. Some common ranges and options are explained below.
Some reports require certain fields to be filled out and this will be noted with a green asterisk.
To have the report print ALL of a Range, just leave the fields BLANK.
Code Ranges: Most reports have one or more code ranges for entering specific codes for which to generate the report. For example: Client Code, Project Code, Vendor Code. To generate the report for a single code, type the selected code into the starting and ending code fields. To generate the report for all codes in the system, leave both fields blank. To generate a report up to and including a particular code, leave the first field blank. To generate the report from a specific code through all remaining codes, enter the starting code and leave the ending code blank. Code ranges will be specific to the type of report you are generating.
Report Format: Many reports offer both a summary and a detail version of the report. The summary version typically provides a more condensed version of the report, while the detail version provides more comprehensive information. Most reports will default to generate the summary format of the report. To generate the detail version, simply select the Detail format option.
To see the ranges in a Report and run a Report, click on the Report name.
In this example, we are running the Client Status Report. First, confirm or re-select the Report Format you want to see. The Client field is required as shown with the green asterisk.
All other range fields shown are optional. When you have selected the ranges and other options and are ready to run the Report click on Run Report.
The Report will show as Pending under Report History at the top right. When the Report is ready to view, you can click on Complete to view a PDF of the report.
You also have the option to download or email the Report by clicking on the buttons next to the Report.
The Report History area will show all Reports previously run and can be viewed at anytime. Please note that the Reports shown under Report History reflects data at the time the Report was originally generated and will not update with new data. To see new data, re-run the Report.
