Design Manager will default to print Items in Location, Group and Item number order. The Tree View and Item Layout window allows you to manually change the Items to print in the order you wish for Proposals and Invoices. When you arrange the layout of Items on a Proposal, that layout will carry over to an Invoice you create with the Items from the Proposal.
With the Tree View and Item Layout window you can also chose to keep the item description on one page and select where a page break happens.
To arrange or re-arrange the Items on a Proposal navigate to the Project and the Items list. Then click on Tree View.
In this view, you can open or expand each Location and Group to see the items and then drag and drop the items to the order you want. You can also drag and drop the Location and Group to the order you want. Watch the video below to see this in action.
To select the Keep Description Together, find the item in the Tree View and Item Layout window and select the two-circles icon. If you select the Keep Description Together icon, then the Item will try to keep all of its Description on the same page. If the Description is too long to fit on one page, it will end up breaking where it needs to. Keeping this selection off will allow the system to print part of the highlighted Items description on one page and the rest on another. Allowing Design Manager to decide where it needs to break to fit properly when printing. As a default the Keep Description Together icon is turned off. The Keep Item Description icon will show as white when turned on and black when turned off.
To select Page Break Before find the item in the Tree View and Item Layout window and select the break icon. Turning this on allows you to page break before a specific Location, Group or Item. Choose this when your Item Description skips over a page because it will not all fit together, and you wish to have the Location Break to the next page in order to keep the Item Description together with the Location Header. As a default the Page Break Before box is turned off. The Page Break Before icon will show as white when turned on and black when turned off.
